I found this recipe on one of the blogs that I subscribe to and it sounds DELICIOUS!  I think I’ll replace the bacon bits with some chicken.  I’ll let you know how it turns out!

:: Ingredients ::

  1. 1 1/2 lb fresh or frozen broccoli
  2. 1/3 cup butter
  3. 1 TBSP brown sugar
  4. 3 TBSP soy sauce
  5. 2 tsp vinegar
  6. 1/4 tsp grown black pepper
  7. 1 1/2 TBSP garlic powder
  8. 1/3 cup chopped walnuts
  9. 1/4 cup bacon bits
  10. 1 small chopped onion

:: Directions ::

  1. Boil broccoli and onion or steam until still crisp, but softened.  Drain.  Set aside
  2. In a separate sauce pan, melt butter, add brown sugar and stir until blended.  Pour in soy sauce, vinegar, black pepper, and garlic powder.  Cook until blended and smooth.
  3. Pour over broccoli.  Add bacon bits and walnuts, then toss and serve immediately.
